For example, if the word “trip” is typed into Google’s search field, the uncategorized results are numerous and across many pages. You then have to continue your search as per the results obtained. With Guidyu, if you type in the same word, you are then guided through a classification process that intelligently refines your search: “for business or for pleasure / on which continent / sunny destination or cultural visit, etc.?” The system is then able to modify the search results more precisely and more rapidly.

Another important advantage to this tool is that the system will then catalogue and save the search results for a future user. For instance, if 90 out of 100 people who searched the word “trip” chose “sunny destination” during the refinement of their search, the system would then automatically place the same results of future searches with the same word at the beginning of the results list.

Following this step, should the user not find what he is searching for, he can then ask to be transferred to a call centre. An email would then be automatically sent to the first available customer service agent with an immediate report summarizing the user’s search and system results. This in turn would prevent the user from having to repeat the situation and would enable the agent to service him more quickly and efficiently. With this system in place, call centre costs could be reduced by as much as 50%.
